Samil High School Alumni Association Holds Inauguration Ceremony for 16th and 17th Presidents

[News S=Reporter Lee Min-jung] The inauguration ceremony for the 16th and 17th presidents of the Samil Industrial High School (Principal Kim Dong-soo) Alumni Association was held successfully on the 1st at Samil High School's auditorium.

The event was attended by around 800 people including School Principal Kim Dong-soo, Operating Committee Chairman Kim Tae-gyun, Parent Association President Shin Young-mi, outgoing 16th President Gu Myung-seo of the Alumni Association, incoming 17th President Park Seung-yoon, People Power Party general election candidates Kim Hyun-jun (Suwon A), Lee Soo-jung (Suwon B), and Bang Moon-gyou (Suwon C), Democratic Party general election candidates Kim Seung-won (Suwon A), Kim Young-jin (Suwon C), Baek Hye-ryeon (Suwon D), and Yeom Tae-young (Suwon E), as well as various other guests, alumni, and current students.

At the event, merit plaques were awarded to alumni Kim Tae-gyun (Electrical Engineering 1st Class) and Lee Byung-chan (Electrical Engineering 2nd Class), and appreciation plaques were presented to Eco Devices Korea Representative Kim Hwa-ju and Samil High School Student Council President Kim Tae-jin.

Principal Kim Dong-soo said in his remarks, "Samil High School is the pride of us all," and urged, "I ask that all alumni join us in holding hands together to make that pride shine even more brightly."

President Park Seung-yoon said in his inaugural address, "I am honored to take on the important role of leading the flourishing Alumni Association," and added, "I will make every effort to write new history so that alumni take pride in being members of Samil, inheriting the spirit of the March 1st Movement."
