Suwon Hyowon High School Embraces Mathematics and Science with '2024 Mathematics and Science Cultural Festival'

[News S=Reporter Lee Min-jung] Hyowon High School (Principal Lim Ho-yeon), a Gyeonggi Province-designated science-focused school, held the '2024 Academic Year Mathematics and Science Cultural Festival' on campus on the 12th.

The 'Mathematics and Science Cultural Festival' is a signature event at Hyowon High that provides student-led hands-on experiences and advanced inquiry opportunities in mathematics and science.

The festival drew participation from 1,049 enrolled students, with 20 science mentoring students and 53 mathematics club members serving as hands-on booth operators.

The festival featured Arduino drone assembly and operation, along with △smart house creation △three-minute science presentations △mathematics and science poetry and calligraphy △image coding robot making △structure building using Kapla blocks △four-panel mathematics and science comics drawing △three-minute mathematics presentations and other activities.

Principal Lim Ho-yeon stated, "I hope the Mathematics and Science Cultural Festival will increase students' interest in mathematics and science and enhance their knowledge," and added, "We will continue to consider ways to run various events and programs for student growth."
