Yusin High School Alumni Association Holds Inauguration of New Chairman and 2025 New Year's Celebration

[News S=Park Chan-hyuk Reporter] The Yusin High School Alumni Association held its chairman inauguration ceremony and 2025 New Year's celebration on the 11th at Yundang Gymnasium in Yusin High School located in Uman-dong, Suwon.

The event was attended by approximately 300 figures and alumni including Principal Lim Seung-gyoo, Congressman Kim Young-jin (Class of '11), former Counter-Intelligence Commander Lee Sang-chul (Class of '11), Gwacheon City Council Chairman Kim Jin-woong (Class of '11), Nonghyup Central Headquarters Gyeonggi Regional Director Um Bum-sik, Provincial Councilors Han Won-chan and Kim Tae-hyung (Class of '14), Suwon Metropolitan Special City High School Alumni Federation Chairman Choi Guk-hyun, Secretary General Kim Chu-hee, and former Suwon Metropolitan Special City Council Chairman Cho Myung-ja.

Hong Kyung-rae (Class of '11), chairman and graduate of Seoul National University who previously served as Nonghyup Central Headquarters Gyeonggi Regional Director, stated in his inaugural address: "I am greatly honored to stand before you as chairman of the Yusin High School Alumni Association, and at the same time I feel a great sense of responsibility. I extend my deepest gratitude to Chairman Lim Jong-myung, who devotedly led the 22nd alumni association."

He continued, "The Yusin High School Alumni Association will do its best for a bright future for Yusin High School, the alumni association, and the local community," and said, "In the new year of 2025, I hope hope and peace fill the homes of all alumni."

Meanwhile, since its founding in 1973, Suwon Yusin High School has emerged as a prestigious private school. The Yusin High School baseball team, established in 1984, has secured its position as a baseball powerhouse with 5 national championship wins and 3 runner-up finishes to date, including the 73rd Golden Lion Cup Championship and the 74th Blue Dragon Cup Championship.
