The society has held regular academic conferences every two years, and since 2023 has held academic conferences annually, actively promoting academic exchanges and focusing on educating young specialists in underdeveloped countries.
Professor Jang is a world-renowned authority in gynecologic cancer, particularly in the field of radical surgery for ovarian and peritoneal cancer. He has served as Council Member, Secretary General, and Secretary Treasurer within the society, contributing to the society's development over the past decade.
Professor Jang's international leadership extends beyond academic conferences to actual clinical education settings. In May, he was invited as a tutor to conduct lectures and hands-on training at the "Ovarian and Peritoneal Cancer Cytoreductive Surgery Workshop" held at UC Irvine Medical Center in California, USA. This workshop is a prestigious educational event attended by world-renowned surgeons specializing in radical surgery for ovarian and peritoneal cancer. Since 2023, Professor Jang has been the only physician from an Asian country to receive consecutive invitations.
Professor Jang stated, "Gynecologic cancer treatment is a field that requires comprehensive expertise and experience beyond simple procedures," and added, "I will actively utilize the knowledge and experience I have accumulated in international academic societies and educational settings for treating domestic patients and nurturing the next generation of specialists."
