[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] Lee Soon-yeol, Director of Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, "The classical car exhibition, bicycle tourism, and social contribution programs operated at Gangcheon Island during the fall peak season concluded successfully with significant positive response."

In an exclusive interview with News S on the 25th, Director Lee said, "As a result of the foundation's efforts to combine emotional and participatory content with Gangcheon Island's unique natural landscape to enhance visitor satisfaction, we have demonstrated clear achievements in revitalizing fall tourism." He continued, "The classical car exhibition, featuring three classic cars including a fire truck from the Sangju Volunteer Fire Department, a nationally registered cultural heritage, drew considerable attention from visitors, and greatly increased Instagram photo posts during the exhibition period, setting a new landmark in spreading Gangcheon Island's image as an emotional tourism destination."

He further noted, "The bicycle tourism program was structured as an experiential riding activity that circulates along the riverside path and ginkgo tree-lined avenue for 30 minutes using multi-passenger and unique bicycles, drawing significant positive response from family and couple visitors. By operating supplementary programs such as Polaroid photo shoots and festival coupons, it was sufficient to help visitors experience Gangcheon Island's new attractions."

Director Lee particularly emphasized, "In conjunction with this comprehensive program, the foundation also pursued social contribution activities together with the Korea Tourism Organization Gyeonggi-Incheon Branch. By providing volunteer supplies and local specialty products to environmental cleanup activity participants to encourage participation, during the concentrated plogging (walking while picking up trash) period, trash volume on walking paths and major routes noticeably decreased, showing practical improvement effects in resolving the problem of illegal dumping during the peak season."

Director Lee also stated, "The foundation confirmed this program as a case demonstrating various outcomes including increased visitor stay duration at Gangcheon Island, improved tourism image, and expansion of eco-friendly activities," and added, "We plan to continue promoting seasonal content expansion and region-linked programs to sustain year-round tourism activation."

Director Lee concluded, "This classical car exhibition, bicycle tourism, and social contribution activities are examples of Gangcheon Island's unique comprehensive tourism model where nature, culture, and participation harmonize," and said, "Going forward, we will expand differentiated experiential content so that Gangcheon Island becomes established as Yeoju's representative healing tourism platform."
