New Face Kim Do-hyung Inaugurated as First Director of Gyeonggi Provincial Employment and Labor Office

[News S=Reporter Lee Min-jung] The Gyeonggi Provincial Employment and Labor Office announced that Kim Do-hyung, formerly of the Daejeon Regional Employment and Labor Office, has taken office as the inaugural director as of the 13th.

Director Kim said, "Gyeonggi Province is the largest metropolitan autonomous body in the nation where one out of four citizens lives and is a core region with the country's largest industrial and employment scale, so I feel a weighty sense of responsibility in undertaking the important role of overseeing employment and labor administration in the Gyeonggi region." He added, "Through cooperation with related organizations such as Gyeonggi Province and field-oriented administration, I will do my best to create a workplace where workers can work with peace of mind and happiness."

Director Kim was born in 1969 and graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Sungkyunkwan University, earning a master's degree in Adult Education from Georgia State University Graduate School. He entered public service in 1995 as the 38th civil service examination passer, and is evaluated as an expert in the employment and labor field, having held various positions including Director of the Regional Industrial Supply and Demand Policy Division at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Director of the Labor Market Policy Division, Director of the Work Inspection Planning Division, Chairman of the Chungcheongnam-do Regional Labor Commission, and Director of the Daejeon Regional Employment and Labor Office.

Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Provincial Employment and Labor Office was upgraded from the Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor on December 30 of last year.
