[News S=Kim Jong-sik, Senior Reporter] The Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority (Acting President Kim Geum-gyu) will fully resume operations of its 'harbor sightseeing boat' starting from the 15th, offering an opportunity to vividly view Pyeongtaek Port's key logistics operations from the sea—areas where public access is normally strictly controlled.

The harbor sightseeing boat is a maritime educational program that allows visitors to tour the expansive port by boat while listening to expert commentary. It provides a special experience to directly observe from the sea—areas normally inaccessible to civilians for security and safety reasons—including automobile import-export docks, massive container terminals, and large-scale logistics complexes.

Operations resume in April following the winter preparation period from December to March. Prior to resuming operations this year, the corporation has thoroughly inspected the vessel's condition, confirmed safety around the navigation routes, and completed all preparatory work to create a comfortable and safe viewing environment, including maintenance of passenger amenities.

In particular, it operates as educational content that goes beyond simple sightseeing by providing professional commentary, allowing visitors to easily understand the port's role and the nation's logistics system while witnessing massive import-export logistics operations in action.

Residents interested in boarding the boat and touring Pyeongtaek Port must use the pre-reservation system. The boat operates twice daily (10 a.m. or 2 p.m.) from Tuesday to Saturday each week, and boarding is available only with reservations made at least five days in advance. Detailed operation schedules and boarding application procedures can be found on the Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority's official website.

Kim Geum-gyu, Acting President of Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority, stated: "The harbor sightseeing boat is a representative program that allows visitors to experience Pyeongtaek Port, Korea's key logistics outpost, up close," and added: "We will continue to provide beneficial experiences to all visitors through rigorous safety management and substantive commentary operations, while working to widely publicize the true value and role of Pyeongtaek Port."
