[News S = Reporter Eom In-yong] Park Kwan-yeol, the Democratic Party candidate for Gwangju mayor, cast his early vote on the 29th at the Gyeongan-dong Administrative Welfare Center for the 9th nationwide simultaneous local elections, accompanied by metropolitan and local assembly candidates and supporters from Gwangju.

Present at the scene were Park Kwan-yeol, the Gwangju mayoral candidate, Im Chang-hui, a Provincial Assembly candidate, Lee Eun-chae and Oh Hyun-joo, City Assembly candidates, Kim Sang-deok, a proportional representation candidate for local assembly, and the chair of the campaign committee. Park and the Democratic Party candidates reaffirmed their firm resolve to achieve certain victory in this election for Gwangju's definitive change and uninterrupted development.

After casting his early vote, Park said, "The power to change our daily lives comes from the votes of voters. To end the forces that continue to shake South Korea's constitutional order and to energetically implement policies with the Lee Jae-myung administration that will change the daily lives of Gwangju citizens, voter participation is essential."

He further appealed, "Please cast your precious vote for me and Democratic Party candidates so that we can work more effectively and powerfully for Gwangju's development."
