Park Si-seon Elected, Democratic Party Will Certainly Support Yeoju's Development: Floor Leader Han Byeong-do

[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] Democratic Party Floor Leader Han Byeong-do received a 'Policy Proposal for Designation of Namhangang Riverside National Garden' from Yeoju Mayor Candidate Park Si-seon during a campaign rally held at Hangul Market in Yeoju on the 31st.

At this occasion, Candidate Park emphasized, "Yeoju, which has suffered from overlapping regulations, needs national-level compensation and development strategies beyond simple regulatory relief," and stated, "One of those solutions should be to pursue the designation of a Namhangang national garden."

He also presented the proposal that the Namhangang national garden is a win-win development model that can preserve Yeoju's natural environment while improving citizens' quality of life and revitalizing tourism, culture, and the local economy.

In response, Floor Leader Han Byeong-do stated, "I recognize the reality that Yeoju has long suffered from residents' inconvenience and constraints on regional development due to various overlapping regulations, including water source protection areas," and added, "I will actively review and support the policy proposals delivered by Candidate Park Si-seon and Yeoju's urgent issues at both the central party and parliamentary levels."

He further emphasized, "This election is not simply about electing one mayor, but an important election where Yeoju's future can change depending on whether a ruling party mayor or opposition party mayor is elected."

Additionally, he stressed, "If the central government has President Lee Jae-myung, Gyeonggi Province has Gubernatorial Candidate Choo Mi-ae, and Yeoju has Candidate Park Si-seon together, a powerful one-team system will be created where the president, governor, mayor, and National Assembly are connected as one."

Gyeonggi Provincial Party Chair Kim Seung-won of the Democratic Party also participated in the campaign rally, stating, "Yeoju, which is imbued with the spirit of King Sejong, has many tasks to be resolved," and argued, "To solve important tasks such as developing the Gangcheon Island national garden, establishing Gangcheon Station, expanding road networks linked to the Yangpyeong Expressway, expanding medical facilities, and various regulatory reforms, a powerful ruling party mayor is absolutely necessary."
