Nanyangju Jinjeop-eup's 'Jinsu Association' Donates 3 Million Won for Vulnerable Populations
[News S=Eom In-yong Reporter] The 'Jinjeop Loves Wednesday Meeting' (Chairman Kim Dae-sik, hereinafter 'Jinsu Association') in Jinjeop-eup, Nanyangju, delivered a donation of 3 million won to the Jinjeop-eup Community Welfare Council (Chairman Lee Jae-gyun) on the 30th to support vulnerable populations in the area.
The 'Jinsu Association' is composed of former and current chairs of 8 major civic organizations in Jinjeop-eup—including the Residents' Autonomy Association, Township Chiefs' Council, New Community Movement Leaders' Council, New Community Women's Association, Righteous Civic Conduct Promotion Committee, Sports Association, Civil Defense Council, and Walking League Chapter—as well as successive township heads of Jinjeop-eup since 2018.
Members share regional issues and seek solutions together through regular exchanges, maintaining strong solidarity.
The ceremony was attended by 11 people including Chairman Kim Dae-sik of the Jinsu Association, Secretary General Jung Tae-young, and Chairman Lee Jae-gyun of the Jinjeop-eup Community Welfare Council, along with chairs of major organizations and relevant civil servants.
Chairman Kim Dae-sik said, "Though it is a modest gesture, we hope this donation will encourage more residents to care for those in need around them and participate in sharing," and added, "We will continue to contribute our efforts so that Jinjeop-eup can grow as a warm community that helps one another and shares compassion."
Moon Myeong-woo, head of Jinjeop-Onam Administrative Welfare Center, stated, "We extend deep gratitude to the members of the Jinsu Association for practicing warm sharing while prioritizing the community," and noted, "The donated funds will be used carefully to provide substantial help to vulnerable populations."
