Guri City Council Begins Communication-Focused Governance Through Visits to Organizations
[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] The Guri City Council (Council Speaker Yang Kyung-ae) conducted full-fledged communication activities from the 15th to the 24th, visiting major related organizations and groups in the region over a ten-day period.
These visits to organizations and groups were arranged to announce the basic direction of future council activities upon the inauguration of the first-term leadership of the 10th Guri City Council (Council Speaker Yang Kyung-ae, Vice Speaker Lee Kyung-hee, and Operating Committee Chair Kim Sung-tae), and to establish close and organic cooperation frameworks with related organizations and groups.
Beginning with the Korean Senior Citizens Association Guri Branch and the Guri Cultural Center on the 15th, the organizational visits proceeded by directly visiting a total of 18 related organizations and groups, including the Guri Police Station, Guri Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Guri Sports Council, and Guri Fire Station.
Council Speaker Yang Kyung-ae stated, "For sustainable development of Guri City and improvement of residents' welfare, not only the efforts of the city council but also close communication and organic cooperation with various organizations and groups in the region are essential." She added, "Moving forward, we will maintain a strong cooperative relationship with organizations and groups, humbly listen to the vivid voices of citizens in the field, and do our best to improve the happiness and quality of life for 190,000 Guri citizens."
