[News S=Reporter Um In-yong] Dasan Elderly Welfare Center in Namyangju City (Director Jang Sun-young) held a ‘Tonic Sharing Event Donation Delivery Ceremony’ on the 28th together with the Rotary Clubs of Namyangju District 2 under Rotary International District 3600 to help vulnerable seniors maintain good health during the summer.

The sharing initiative was made possible through sponsorship from the Namyangju District 2 Rotary Club Alliance (Migeum, Dasan, Baekap, and Namyangju clubs), which donated 1,200 packaged ginseng chicken soups valued at 6 million won.

The delivery ceremony was attended by approximately 50 people, including Director Jang Sun-young of Dasan Elderly Welfare Center, Gang Tae-il, head of Namyangju City's Welfare Division, Yu Ju-sang, representative of Namyangju District 2 Rotary Clubs, club members, and volunteers.

The donated soups were distributed to four elderly welfare centers within the city, including Dasan Elderly Welfare Center, Dongbu, Happy Nuri, and Namyangju City Elderly Welfare Center. Volunteers personally visited over 580 vulnerable senior households to deliver the soup and check on their wellbeing, further strengthening the collaborative public-private care system.

Gang Tae-il, the city's Welfare Division head, stated, “Just as Confucius said, ‘Virtue is never solitary; it always has neighbors,’ a generous and virtuous heart is not lonely and will surely meet-minded neighbors,” and added, “We will continue to solidify the ‘Namyangju-style Integrated Care System’ so that elderly residents can live healthy lives within our community.”
