[News S=Min-jung Lee, Staff Reporter] Hwaseong Urban Development Corporation (President Han Byeong-hong, hereinafter HU Corporation) signed a medical cooperation agreement (MOU) with four hospitals in the city on the 29th at the press conference room of Hwaseong Comprehensive Sports Park to improve medical welfare for employees and families of companies located in industrial complexes.

The agreement on that day included participation from Hallym University Dongtan Cardiac Center, Dongtan City Hospital, ABC Hospital, and Hwaseong Only Hospital, with medical services support provided to employees and families of companies located in 13 industrial complexes managed and operated by HU Corporation. As of the end of June 2026, the target encompasses 2,775 companies with 52,874 workers.

Under the agreement, employees and families of located companies can receive various medical benefits at partner hospitals including discounts on health checkups, reduced medical and non-covered expenses, and discounted vaccinations. Some hospitals also plan to provide customized services to enhance medical accessibility, including establishing emergency contact systems for emergency patients and transportation support for patients with mobility challenges.

HU Corporation expects this agreement to contribute to health promotion for industrial complex workers as well as enhanced welfare for companies. Going forward, the corporation plans to actively provide information about the agreement through the Industrial Complex Management Office website, industrial complex councils, and promotional materials, while operating a working-level council to continuously monitor implementation status and increase the effectiveness of medical services.

Han Byeong-hong, President of HU Corporation, stated, "We established this agreement so that workers do not neglect health management due to financial burden amid prolonged economic downturn," adding, "We will continue to expand support that provides substantive help to companies and workers in industrial complexes, and through cooperation with local medical institutions, contribute to creating a healthy industrial complex environment and revitalizing the local economy."
