Gyeonggi Province Recruits Participants for September 'Tasty Plaza' Upcycling Culinary Experience

Gyeonggi Province Food Plaza will recruit participants for the interactive food culture experience program 'Tasty Plaza' in September starting from the 26th through the 28th on a first-come, first-served basis.

'Tasty Plaza' transcends being merely a space for eating and enjoyment, serving as Gyeonggi Province's representative communication platform that integrates healthy food culture and cultural content to provide residents with moments of respite in their daily lives.

Main programs include △'Herb Planting' using recycled plastic pots and coffee grounds cultivation soil to create refreshing greenery △'Rusk Making' that transforms discarded bread scraps into crispy delicacies △'Homemade Jam Making' that brings out the sweetness of fruits destined for waste. Various experiences showcasing the essence of resource circulation in daily life have been prepared.

Additionally, a mysterious 'Blue Mallow Color-Changing Tea Tasting' and 'Reusable Tea Bag Making' using fragrant herbs will complete a special culinary journey that satisfies all five senses.

The event will be held on September 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Gyeonggi Province Food Plaza in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon. Anyone who is a Gyeonggi Province resident may participate for free. The application period runs from 10 a.m. on August 26 to 6 p.m. on August 28, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis (50 participants) through Naver Form.

Lee Moon-moo, director of Gyeonggi Province's Agricultural Policy Division, stated, "This September's Tasty Plaza will be a very special time for residents to directly discover and taste the hidden value in scraps and remnants that are often overlooked," and added, "We have carefully prepared this so that residents can experience the value of resource circulation for a sustainable future in an easy and enjoyable manner. We ask for residents' keen interest and participation."
