Suwon City Expands Suwon Pay Incentives Up to 100,000 Won for Chuseok Holiday Starting September 1

Suwon Special Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) is expanding the September Suwon Pay incentive to 20% for the Chuseok holiday season.

Incentives will be provided starting at 9 a.m. on September 1 until the budget is depleted. The charging limit per person is 500,000 won, and those who charge 500,000 won can receive an incentive of 100,000 won.

The maximum Suwon Pay balance per person is 1 million won. Users can only charge additional funds after spending their current balance.

Suwon Pay can only be used at merchant stores participating in Suwon Pay within Suwon City. Usage is restricted at certain stores including large supermarkets, department stores, and hypermarkets.

Users can charge through the Gyeonggi Regional Currency app or offline charging centers. A list of offline charging centers is available on the Suwon City website (www.suwon.go.kr) by searching for 'Suwon Pay Offline Charging Centers' in the notice board section. Offline charging centers are not operated on public holidays.

A Suwon City official said, "We hope citizens enjoy a bountiful holiday with Suwon Pay," and added, "We hope the expanded incentive will increase consumption in local neighborhood shops and bring warmth of spending to small business owners."
