Suwon Saebit Health Bus Begins Medical Services
The Suwon Saebit Senior Health Bus is a project operated through a public-private partnership among Suwon Special City, the Space and Sharing Association, and the Korean Heart Rhythm Society, providing accessible health services to elderly residents by visiting senior centers and welfare facilities.
Elderly residents can receive services including eye disease screening, musculoskeletal examination, muscle strength testing, and mental health screening at the Suwon Saebit Senior Health Bus. Dementia screening can also be arranged when necessary.
Based on screening results, high-risk groups are identified and connected with customized health counseling, cataract surgery subsidies, and appropriate health services through local health projects.
Through the operation of the Suwon Saebit Senior Health Bus based on public-private cooperation, plans are in place to establish an integrated health management system linking screening, identification, counseling, and service coordination.
