The student commute shuttle bus service 'Tonghakie' for middle and high school students in Icheon City has expanded its operating routes starting from the 24th.

According to Rep. Song Seok-jun (People Power Party, Icheon City), who chairs the National Assembly Committee on Foreign Affairs and Reunification, 'Tonghakie 3' in the Majang area and 'Tonghakie 4' in the Daewol and Bufal areas have been newly established to begin expanded operations.

The newly introduced 'Tonghakie 3' passes through six schools including Majang Middle School, Icheon High School, Jeungpo Middle School, Ihyun High School, and Hyoyang Middle and High School. 'Tonghakie 4' passes through eight schools including Hyoyang Middle and High School, Icheon High School, Ihyun High School, Jeungpo Middle School, Yangjeong Girls' Middle and High School, and Dasan High School.

The new routes completed preliminary inspections through free trial operations from the 18th to the 21st. It is expected that commuting convenience and safety for students in areas where existing 'Tonghakie' services were difficult to access will be significantly improved.

Rep. Song Seok-jun said, "I am pleased that the commuting environment has improved through route expansion reflecting students' needs," and added, "Going forward, I will continue to closely cooperate with Icheon City and related institutions and spare no support at the National Assembly level."
