12th Hwaseong Songsan Grape Festival to Begin on Sept. 5 at Hwaseong Eco Farm Theme Park

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) announced that it will hold the "12th Hwaseong Songsan Grape Festival," themed around Hwaseong Songsan grapes, the region's representative specialty product, for two days starting September 5 at Hwaseong Eco Farm Theme Park in Seosin-myeon, Manse-gu.

This year's festival marks the 12th edition and will be held under the theme of "Hwaseong Songsan Grape Farm Tour Festa." The festival will feature a variety of experiences, food offerings, and leisure programs using grapes to showcase the taste and appeal of Hwaseong Songsan grapes to visitors.

During the festival period, a promotion event for Hwaseong Songsan grapes will also take place simultaneously at Dongtan Lake Park, allowing citizens to experience the excellent taste and charm of Hwaseong Songsan grapes in the urban area.

The festival's signature program, "Grape Stomping," was previously held at Gungpyeong Port until last year, but will now be held at the central grass plaza of Hwaseong Eco Farm Theme Park this year. The program is designed to allow family visitors to participate directly and create unique memories.

The "Grape Lifecycle Exhibition Hall" will be set up as an interactive exhibition space. Visitors, including children, can observe the growth process of grapes and various grape varieties while directly experiencing the appeal of Hwaseong Songsan grapes.

After the daytime programs conclude, a string quartet performance will take place at the observation deck of Hwaseong Eco Farm Theme Park, accompanied by the sunset over Gungpyeong Port. Wine produced by local wineries will also be available for visitors to enjoy, offering a unique respite and entertainment experience.

Mayor Jung Myung-geun of Hwaseong Special City stated, "The Hwaseong Songsan Grape Festival is an event where local farmers, artists, and visitors come together to experience Hwaseong's agricultural and tourism resources." He added, "This year, in line with the theme of 'Farm Tour Festa,' we have prepared various programs that allow visitors to enjoy the taste of Hwaseong Songsan grapes, rural tourism, and leisure together. I hope many citizens and tourists will visit the festival and create special memories."
