'Ballet, Walking Through the Era'...Suwon Ballet Festival to be Held on September 12

Suwon Special Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) will hold the '2026 Suwon Ballet Festival' at 7 p.m. on September 12 at the Suwon SK Atrium Grand Performance Hall.

This year's ballet festival, held under the theme 'Ballet, Walking Through the Era - Ballet in Suwon,' will allow audiences to appreciate the flow of ballet from classical to contemporary with explanations. There will also be time for audiences to follow along with ballet mime movements.

The National Ballet Company, Suwon City Ballet, Incheon City Ballet, and Aham Art Project will participate to showcase classical and contemporary ballet performances. Announcer O Jung-yeon will serve as the host. Reservations can be made through Saebith Talk Talk's '2026 Suwon Ballet Festival Pre-booking Guide.' Up to 4 tickets per person can be requested. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.

A Suwon City official said, "We have prepared so that citizens can enjoy ballet easily with explanations and hands-on experiences," and added, "We hope this festival becomes an opportunity to become familiar with ballet and experience culture and arts broadly."
