The Hwaseong City Labor-Management-Government-Civic Council (Chairman Jung Myung-geun) held a 'Labor-Management-Government-Civic Joint Declaration Ceremony for Sustainable Development and Smart Safety Environment Creation in Hwaseong Special-Status City' at the City Hall Central Conference Room on the 2nd.

The ceremony brought together 15 representatives from labor-management-government-civic organizations, including the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions Hwaseong Regional Branch, Hwaseong City Council, Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office, and Hwaseong Special-Status City, who serve as council members. They pledged to work together in their shared responsibilities and roles, setting labor-management coexistence in the local community, enhanced industrial safety, and ESG management practices as core tasks.

The joint declaration document includes implementation plans aimed at realizing '3 Zero (Zero Discrimination·Zero Disparity·Zero Accidents)': △Establishing a preemptive industrial accident prevention system based on smart technology △Implementing Environment, Social, and Transparent Governance (ESG) management to secure future competitiveness △Building peaceful and rational labor-management relations in response to evolving labor law environments.

Labor-management-government-civic sectors will cooperate in introducing AI-based risk prediction systems and smart safety equipment to prevent industrial accidents, and companies have agreed to expand investment in replacing outdated facilities and enhancing occupational safety and health management systems.

Additionally, they pledged to foster an employment culture that reduces discrimination and disparity toward vulnerable groups including non-regular workers and migrant workers, and to unite efforts in achieving carbon neutrality together with businesses and workers.

Mayor Jung Myung-geun of Hwaseong Special-Status City stated, "As Hwaseong is the nation's largest-scale manufacturing city, eliminating discrimination and disparity in industrial and employment sites and preventing industrial accidents are more important than ever." He added, "By expanding the practice of '3 Zero' together through labor-management-government-civic cooperation, we will lead improvements in the dual structure of the labor market and prevention of industrial accidents, creating a city where workers can work safely and businesses can grow."
