Remove Weeds from Roadsides

Jangan-gu Office in Suwon Special City announced on the 3rd that it will undertake a major weed removal project ahead of Chuseok to clear weeds that have grown profusely around roads, sidewalks, and street trees.

The project is being promoted to quickly and efficiently remove weeds that have grown rapidly due to summer heavy rains and extreme heat. Jangan-gu plans to concentrate dedicated personnel and equipment to prioritize major roads, intersections, and school routes with heavy pedestrian traffic.

District Chief Kim In-bae said, "Weeds growing between sidewalks and street trees not only detract from the city's appearance but can also be an obstacle to pedestrians, particularly those with mobility challenges," and added, "Through continuous monitoring and prompt maintenance, we will create a clean and safe walking environment that residents can feel and experience."
