Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) held the 19th Safety Culture Salon at the Vision Hall on the 3rd floor of City Hall on the 3rd and announced that it discussed ways to establish a safety system linked to the "Future City Development Strategy Yongin Vision 2040."

The mayor stated, "I believe it is important to establish a safety system for citizens by cooperating with related organizations such as police, fire departments, and the office of education in connection with Yongin's future vision," and added, "I hope that through safety culture salons and other means, we can establish a cooperation system with related organizations to prepare for disasters and accidents."
On this day, the mayor shared the blueprint of the "Future City Development Strategy Yongin Vision 2040" with the heads of organizations and discussed safety-related projects in Yongin Special City, which is developing into a metropolitan area with a population of 1.5 million.
Key discussion items included △establishing an integrated control and experience ecosystem to respond to climate disasters △expanding customized support policies for climate-vulnerable groups and regions △establishing smart public safety infrastructure to prevent crime △operating disaster education programs to promote safety culture.
The mayor and heads of organizations discussed various matters beyond the safety sector on this day, including the establishment of special schools, urban development plans, and semiconductor projects in which Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are investing.
The mayor stated, "As Samsung Electronics' advanced system semiconductor cluster national industrial complex Phase 1 fab in Cheoin-gu Idong and Nam-saeup, Yongin is being accelerated by one year to 2029, we expect many vehicles and people to converge due to construction work for the fab," and added, "The expansion project of National Route 45, which connects from the Namdan Daechon Intersection through the national industrial complex to Anseong City, has also been exempted from preliminary feasibility studies, and with construction for this in progress, we anticipate an extremely congested and unprecedented situation will unfold."
