Suwon Special Status City Introduces Private Platform 'wegive' for Convenient Hometown Love Donations

Suwon Special Status City (Mayor Lee Jae-joon) has introduced the private platform 'wegive' service to expand the online participation base for the Hometown Love Donation program.

Suwon City plans to add a private platform to the existing online donation channel 'Hometown Love e-eum' to enhance donors' accessibility and convenience of use, and will actively promote Suwon City's Hometown Love Donation program by utilizing various online publicity channels.

Wegive is a private platform specialized in the Hometown Love Donation program, providing support for fundraising and receiving donations, registering and consulting on return gifts, and customized advertising, promotion, and marketing.

Suwon City plans to expand online exposure of return gifts featuring Suwon's distinctive characteristics using the private platform, and will also contribute to expanding sales channels for return gift suppliers and revitalizing the local economy.

Suwon City's Hometown Love Donation can be made through the online 'Hometown Love e-eum' and 'wegive', or at NH Nonghyup Bank counters nationwide.

The Hometown Love Donation program is a system in which individuals donate to local governments other than their registered resident address, and donors receive tax deduction benefits and return gifts equivalent to up to 30% of the donation amount. The donation funds are used for projects to promote residents' welfare and regional development.

An official from Suwon City stated, "With the introduction of the private platform, donors will be able to more easily access Suwon's Hometown Love Donation program and return gifts," and added, "We will operate it faithfully so that the donation funds are used meaningfully for the region."
