Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) will distribute 'Saebit Care Packages' to 300 households enrolled in the Suwon Saebit Care meal support program, who face concerns about meal gaps during the Chuseok holiday period, by September 23.

The support targets are households among Suwon Saebit Care meal support users who will experience interruptions in meal service during the Chuseok holiday. Each dong recommended and selected households with actual risk of meal gaps as priority.

The 'Saebit Care Package' consists of eight types of convenient food items including instant rice, soup and broth, nutritional porridge, and side dishes. Items were selected considering nutrition, storage, and cooking convenience.

Suwon City held a delivery ceremony for the Saebit Care Packages on the 17th and distributed packages to each dong. Each dong will deliver packages to targeted recipients by September 23.

Suwon City will visit households of recipients together with the dong's personal safety net, deliver the Saebit Care Packages, and check on holiday greetings and living conditions. The city plans to carefully monitor neighbors in need of care during the holiday period and prevent care blind spots by linking product support with wellness checks.

An official from Suwon City stated, "While Chuseok is a time to share affection with family and neighbors, it can be a period when neighbors in need of care experience greater gaps in meals and feelings of isolation," and added, "Through sharing Saebit Care Packages and wellness checks, we will carefully ensure that care continues throughout the holiday period."
