Jangan-gu Operates Direct Trading Farmers Market for Chuseok
Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, the Jangan-gu Community Care Council in Suwon is hosting a 'Direct Trading Farmers Market for Chuseok' at Jangan-gu Office Plaza through the 22nd of this month to help ease residents' shopping expenses and support those in need.
The market features a diverse selection of agricultural and seafood products carefully chosen from across the country, including fruits, vegetables, dried seafood, and seafood, as well as items suitable as holiday gifts, without limiting to products from any specific region. By conducting direct transactions with producers and distributors, the market reduces distribution steps and offers prices lower than the retail market.
Ko Jae-hwa, private sector chair of the Jangan-gu Community Care Council, said, "This direct trading market provides residents with an opportunity to prepare for the holiday at reasonable prices and is a meaningful event where profits go to help those in need," and added, "As Chuseok approaches, I hope many residents will visit the market to purchase quality agricultural and seafood products while participating in this warm sharing."
