Hwaseong Special City Signs MOU for 'AI Digital Healthcare Project' Through Public-Private Collaboration

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) signed a memorandum of understanding with Space and Sharing Association, Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Dongtan City Hospital on the 22nd at the City Hall Central Conference Room for the successful implementation of the 'AI Digital Healthcare Project.'

The agreement was established to provide health management services utilizing digital technology to medically vulnerable populations and citizens requiring health management, and to build a public-private cooperation system for community health promotion.

The 'AI Digital Healthcare Project' will provide digital health screening and preventive counseling services to medically vulnerable populations and others. Services will include health screenings using digital equipment such as △checking muscle loss, body shape imbalance, and fall risk △cardiac condition assessment through 12-lead electrocardiography △digital pulmonary function testing △artificial intelligence (AI)-based fundus photography.

Under the agreement, Hwaseong Special City will support the linkage of health and medical services for medically vulnerable populations and the establishment of community cooperation systems. Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. will provide infrastructure, equipment, and health information necessary for AI-based health management services, while Space and Sharing Association will support social contribution projects based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management, as well as identify on-site needs and provide operational support.

Dongtan City Hospital will provide resources necessary for service operations and cooperate in linking relevant services to ensure that high-risk health groups identified during health screening processes receive appropriate health management.

The city plans to link the expertise and resources of each organization through this agreement to provide more convenient and meticulous health management services to citizens who face difficulties in accessing healthcare services. Additionally, the city will establish a community health management system utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology.

Mayor Jung Myung-geun of Hwaseong Special City stated, "This project utilizing AI digital technology is significant in that it allows more careful attention to the health of citizens who face difficulties in accessing healthcare services," and added, "Based on the expertise and resources of each organization, we will enable citizens to conveniently check their health status and receive necessary health management services in their daily lives."
