Maesan-dong 'New Shine New Renovation' Grand Cleanup

Maesan-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon City (Chief Dong Jung-suk) conducted environmental cleanup work around Suwon Station on the 23rd with approximately 30 local residents as part of the "Our Neighborhood New Shine New Renovation" initiative.

The grand cleanup held ahead of Chuseok was carried out to tidy up the area around Suwon Station, which is frequented by tourists and people returning for the holiday. As outdoor activities increase during this period when large numbers of people are drawn to the area, habitual dumping sites and household waste were intensively organized to create a pleasant street environment.

Chief Dong Jung-suk said, "With the 2026 Suwon Visit Year and the onset of cool autumn weather, we anticipate an increase in tourists visiting the area around Suwon Station," adding, "We will carefully attend to every corner of the site so that visitors can always find Maesan-dong clean and safe whenever they arrive."

Furthermore, he added, "We hope this activity will serve as an opportunity to instill positive perceptions of a clean Suwon among citizens."
