Gwangmyeong City (Mayor Park Seung-won) will select 2027 Civic Participation Budget projects through a citizen vote. The city will conduct an "Online Citizen Vote on 2027 Gwangmyeong City Civic Participation Budget Proposed Projects" through October 9.

The civic participation budget system is a program in which citizens directly propose projects needed in their region and participate in the project selection and budget allocation process.

The target of this online vote consists of a total of 26 proposed civic participation budget projects that have undergone preliminary review and deliberation. By sector: △urban environment 12 projects △safety and construction 8 projects △economy, welfare, and youth 6 projects.

Voters can review the contents of the 26 projects and then select a total of 9 projects: 4 from the urban environment sector, 3 from the safety and construction sector, and 2 from the economy, welfare, and youth sector.

Anyone can participate in the vote, which runs through October 9 via the online address (moaform.com/q/ehLrzT) or by scanning the QR code on promotional materials.

The results of the online citizen vote will be used as a basis for selecting 2027 Civic Participation Budget projects and allocating the budget. The city will draw 50 people from voting participants and present them with coffee coupons to encourage civic participation.

Mayor Park Seung-won of Gwangmyeong City stated, "Incorporating citizens' voices into city administration is the starting point of citizen-centered governance," and added, "I will ensure that opinions proposed by citizens are faithfully reflected in next year's civic participation budget so that they can lead to changes in the region."
