Hwaseong-Style Basic Society Committee Launches to Ensure Fundamental Living Standards for All
The 'Hwaseong-Style Basic Society Committee,' which will serve as the central hub for advancing Hwaseong-style basic society policies, has officially launched.
Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun) held the 'Hwaseong-Style Basic Society Committee Launch Ceremony and Forum' in the conference room of Hwaseong City Hall on the 12th.
The committee consists of a total of 30 members—7 ex officio members and 23 appointed members—and will be responsible for providing consultation on overall basic society policies, discovering policies, and discussing the development direction of major policies.
The significance of this launch lies in converting the 'Hwaseong-Style Basic Society Promotion Task Force,' which was operated last year, into an official committee, thereby strengthening the policy implementation system to continuously discover, monitor, and advance Hwaseong-style basic society policies.
At the event, a policy forum was held to share award-winning entries from the basic society policy competition and major policies, along with certificate presentations, a launch performance expressing the values and direction of Hwaseong-style basic society, and the delivery of members' messages of hope.
The city plans to reflect the committee's expertise and on-site experience in policies through regular meetings and field-specific discussions, and to continuously discover Hwaseong-style basic society policies that citizens can feel and experience.
Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun of Hwaseong Special City stated, "The direction that Hwaseong-style basic society should pursue is ensuring that everyone is guaranteed a fundamental living standard, that youth can challenge their dreams, that children can enjoy education and care without discrimination, and that seniors can have a healthy and happy old age," and added, "We will take this committee's launch as a new starting point for citizen happiness and faithfully reflect the voices of citizens and the expertise from various fields in our policies."
