Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) introduces six parks in the Dongtan area that are ideal for autumn walks. Dongtan Yeoul Park, Dongtan Lake Park, Cheonggye Central Park, Daol Park Onttul Garden, Songbangcheon Park, and Yedat Park are already well-known courses that residents flock to every autumn.

For open vistas, Dongtan Yeoul Park and Dongtan Lake Park are ideal. The yellow and orange cosmos flower fields at Dongtan Yeoul Park are perfect for enjoying the blooms and capturing memories in photographs. At Dongtan Lake Park, miscanthus 'Bluebird,' water miscanthus, and Korean gamagrass sway in the breeze, adding to the autumn atmosphere.

For those who want to appreciate flowers up close and take a break, Cheonggye Central Park's Dareungi Rainwater Garden is perfect. The garden, featuring amaranth, blue sage, and gaura, has swings where visitors can relax while admiring the flowers. Using the barefoot path on the hill behind it allows for a walk where one encounters both flowers and forest.

At Daol Park's Onttul Garden, celosia, marigolds, and chrysanthemums fill the autumn landscape. True to its name, "A Courtyard with Warmth," it is a therapeutic garden for everyday living where visitors can stay comfortably near home.

At Songbangcheon Park's splash pad flower beds, celosia planted by citizen gardeners has bloomed in profusion, while the terrace-style flower beds of Dareungi Garden are also filled with carefully cultivated flowers.

Yedat Park, where shrubs and herbaceous plants harmonize, began maintenance through a citizen gardener program this year. Steady management by citizen gardeners maintains a neat garden landscape.

Choi Jung-woo, director of the East Park Management Division, said, "I hope residents will feel the beauty of autumn up close in parks and gardens that embody the dedication of citizen gardeners and enjoy leisure in their daily lives. Together with citizen gardeners, we will cultivate gardens where people can enjoy seasonal changes and work to manage parks so that residents can use them comfortably."
