Gwangmyeong City (Mayor Park Seung-won) is stepping up efforts to expand investment and cooperation opportunities for promising startups. On the 29th, it will host the '2026 Glocal Demo Day' at the L7 Gwangmyeong by Lotte Hotel Grand Ballroom.
The demo day will feature startups that achieved excellent results in the first half of the year and will include ▲startup company presentations (IR) ▲awards ceremony for outstanding companies ▲on-site events ▲one-on-one investment consultation sessions.
Five outstanding companies will be selected through evaluation by startup experts, and awards for excellence, merit, and popularity will be presented. Companies with outstanding investment performance will receive the 'Future Value Creation Award,' and companies with excellent cooperation results such as business agreements (MOUs) will receive the 'Strategic Partnership Award.'
Except for the one-on-one investment consultation session, this event is open to the general public. Any citizen interested in startups and investment can attend for free.
A pre-registration event will also be held. Citizens can pre-register using the QR code in the guide, and after completing on-site registration, they can participate in the event. A commemorative event for on-site visitors will also be provided.
Gwangmyeong Mayor Park Seung-won stated, "We will actively discover companies with potential and establish a stable foundation for growth to create a city where businesses and the region develop together."
In the first half of this year, the city promoted the '2026 Glocal Startup Challenge,' recruiting 100 promising domestic and international startups. After online assessment and demo day, 20 finalists were selected. Selected companies were provided support including investor matching and IR training.
