Jang Tae-hwan, Chair of the Economic and Labor Committee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly (Democratic Party, Uiwang District 2), was appointed as honorary branch manager for a day at the Gunpo branch of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation (Chairman Si Seok-joong) on the 19th and heard about management difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in the Uiwang area.

The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation appointed Chair Jang as honorary branch manager for the day at the Gunpo branch and held an on-site consultation meeting.

The Gunpo branch is a business office that oversees Uiwang City and Gunpo City, and small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in the Uiwang area also use this branch for credit guarantee consultations and financial support.

This consultation meeting was arranged to understand the difficulties that business owners face in operating their businesses and to find support measures necessary for management stability. The event was attended by Chair Jang and Chairman Si Seok-joong, as well as small and medium-sized enterprise and small business owner organizations, and heads of financial institutions in the area.

After receiving a briefing on local and operational issues at the Gunpo branch, Chair Jang attended a meeting with small and medium-sized enterprise and small business owner representatives, listened to their concerns and suggestions, including sluggish sales and financial management burdens, and exchanged views with officials from the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation and financial institutions on ways to cooperate in alleviating difficulties in fundraising. He then received his appointment letter from Chairman Si Seok-joong and met directly with small and medium-sized enterprise and small business owner visitors to the branch, participating in guarantee consultations.

Previously in September, Chair Jang held roundtable talks with the Gyeonggi Small Business Owner Federation and the Gyeonggi Merchant Federation to discuss ways to revitalize consumption and expand support budgets, during which he heard requests including expansion of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation's contributions to respond to increased loan demand.

Chair Jang said, "Directly hearing the difficulties experienced by business owners is an important starting point for setting the direction of people-oriented support policies," and added, "I will faithfully reflect the opinions shared here in Uiwang in budget deliberations and legislative activities, and the Economic and Labor Committee will join forces with the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation to ensure that necessary support is provided in a timely manner."

Chairman Si said, "I am grateful to Chair Jang Tae-hwan for visiting not only to discuss policies for supporting small business owners but also the guarantee consultation site," and added, "The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation will carefully consider the circumstances of each business owner and work closely with Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly to support the management stability of small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners throughout the province, including the Uiwang area."
