Suwon Uiui Elementary School Holds Festival...'One Week Without Backpacks'
Suwon Uiui Elementary School held a special autumn festival created together by students, staff, and parents.
Uiui Elementary School (Principal Lee Ok-kyung) announced on the 19th that it will hold the '2026 Happy Dream Festival We Create Together, Uiui Festival' for five days from the 19th through the 23rd.
This festival, themed on being 'Exciting, Unique, and Interesting,' was organized to allow students to step outside regular classroom instruction and explore their dreams and talents through diverse experiences.
During the event period, the school will operate 'One Week Without Backpacks' and conduct various programs including grade-level athletic competitions, cultural arts experience presentations, after-school and childcare exhibitions, AI experience festivals, and reading activities.
The Parents' Association of Uiui Elementary School (President Shin Sang-hee) is also actively participating in the festival. Parent volunteers will distribute snacks and beverages timed with the grade-level athletic competitions and support 'Life Photo' booth experiences where friends can capture memories together.
Notably, parents are volunteering their time and support for students' hands-on activities, adding significance to the festival as an event created together by the school and parents, transcending a simple in-school event.
President Shin Sang-hee said, "I'm delighted to contribute even a small part in helping children laugh joyfully at school and create happy memories," and added, "Going forward, we will actively participate in school educational activities and support our children's happy school life."
Principal Lee Ok-kyung stated, "I hope this will be a meaningful time for students to discover their talents through diverse experiences and build precious memories with friends," and expressed, "I am grateful to the Parents' Association for generously sharing their time and effort for our students."
