On the 26th, Gyeonggi Education Superintendent An Min-seok held a 'Visiting Superintendent's Office' townhall meeting in Pyeongtaek and Anseong, exchanging opinions with parents on regional educational issues and practical problems in school operations.

A common issue regarding field trips was raised in both Pyeongtaek and Anseong. There were concerns that responsibility for accidents during field trips is concentrated on teachers.

In response, Superintendent An Min-seok stated, "Under the current system, responsibility for accidents occurring during field trips is concentrated on teachers, causing schools to avoid field trips," and emphasized, "Institutional improvements are absolutely necessary so that teachers can operate field trips without bearing the burden of liability for accidents."

He continued, "In some regions, the office of education is directly handling field trip site arrangements through contracts and supporting safety instructors to accompany field trips," and added, "Taking these cases into consideration, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will support the revitalization of field trips in schools starting next year."

Kim Yun-ki, director of Pyeongtaek Office of Education, announced that it is promoting the establishment of new schools to address overcrowded classrooms, and plans to support a student commute shuttle bus 'Dream Go' in cooperation with Pyeongtaek City to resolve long-distance commuting issues.

Kim Beom-jin, director of Anseong Office of Education, explained improvement measures for long-distance commuting and plans and preparations for supporting school field trips.
