Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) established a foothold for market entry into the Caucasus region by conducting export consultations in Azerbaijan and Georgia from the 19th to the 25th.
The city dispatched a market exploration team to Azerbaijan and Georgia, which have emerged as logistics hubs connecting Asia and Europe amid the Russia-Ukraine war and changing Middle East situation, in collaboration with the Gyeonggi South Regional Chapter of the Korea Trade Association.
The activities of the market exploration team, which included six small and medium-sized enterprises from the Yongin region, stood out. The city announced on the 28th that a total of 49 consultations worth 8.55 million dollars (approximately 11.5 billion won) in exports were achieved.
