Mansei-gu Agricultural Products Debut in Dongtan...Direct Trading Market at Dongtan Yeoul Park on the 31st

An urban-rural exchange sales event called 'Autumn Arrives, Mansei Market' will be held to introduce high-quality agricultural and specialty products from Mansei-gu in Hwaseong Special City to consumers in the urban area of Dongtan-gu.

The event is meaningful in linking the regional characteristics of Mansei-gu and Dongtan-gu to expand sales channels for farmers and provide citizens with fresh, quality local food. It will take place at Dongtan Yeoul Park on the 31st.

At the market, farmers and producer groups from Mansei-gu will showcase items including shiitake mushrooms, red potatoes, grapes, pears, apples, dried seafood, salted seafood products, and kimchi. Farmers plan to directly explain to Dongtan citizens the cultivation process and quality of their agricultural products.

Along with the direct trading event, various entertainment will be provided including agricultural product tastings, kimjang and rice cake making experience programs, traditional folk music performances, and traditional market promotion booths.

Hong Nomi, head of Mansei-gu Office, said, "This is a meaningful occasion to promote Mansei-gu's excellent agricultural and specialty products to citizens of Dongtan-gu and for residents of both regions to exchange with each other," adding, "It will provide new sales channels for local farmers and offer citizens an opportunity to encounter fresh and reliable food nearby."
