Suwon Office of Education Operates 'Suwon Village E:eum FESTA' Connecting Schools and Communities
The Suwon Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Hye-ri) held the "2026 Suwon Village E:eum FESTA" on the 31st at Gyeonggi Science High School and the Gyeonggi Province Future Science Education Center, sharing students' learning and growth through diverse programs including cultural arts and sports activities linked to RAS education.
The event drew approximately 600 participants including students, parents, school staff, and local residents, demonstrating strong enthusiasm. For students, it was a meaningful time to directly participate and experience programs while sharing the outcomes of their educational activities.
At Gyeonggi Science High School's conference hall, performances by Suwon E:eum Shared School choirs and cheerleading squads were held, along with a "Dagagam" music concert that enhanced sensitivity to diverse cultures and a school sports club creative (broadcasting) dance competition.
In the lobby and exhibition spaces, 28 experience booths were set up covering science, career development, shared schools, sports, and educational volunteer activities, achieving successful participation from both students and local residents.
At Gyeonggi Province Future Science Education Center, an outcomes sharing session for after-school and daycare programs was held to exchange best practices. Additionally, at a results briefing session on Suwon's heat map drawing, students and citizens shared the outcomes of their climate and environmental inquiry activities, and awards were presented to outstanding participants.
Superintendent Kim Hye-ri stated, "This festa is a meaningful occasion where schools and communities together support and share students' learning and growth," and added, "We will activate the community education partnership so that students can enjoy broader learning opportunities by linking diverse educational resources in the region."
