Paju Silver Police Unit Operates 'Munsan Clean Zone' at Munsan Station Overpass

[News S=Reporter Kim Jin-ho] The Paju Munsan-eup Silver Police Unit designated three areas including the Munsan Station overpass and a public parking lot as the ‘Munsan Clean Zone’ on the 23rd.

The ‘Munsan Clean Zone’ refers to areas where the Silver Police Unit conducts regular cleaning and environmental management as part of volunteer work. In particular, the Munsan Station overpass designated this time is an area where approximately 10,000 users pass through daily on average, with domestic waste and cigarette butts constantly accumulating, and opinions have been raised that intensive management is necessary to improve the city's clean image.

The Munsan-eup Silver Police Unit has previously taken the lead in improving local environments through various volunteer activities including environmental restoration of Munsan Noeul Road, cleaning of public parking lots and bus stops. This designation of the ‘Munsan Clean Zone’ represents a new attempt to establish a more systematic and sustainable environmental management model.

In particular, starting with the Munsan Station overpass, the Munsan-eup Silver Police Unit plans to additionally identify environmentally vulnerable areas within Munsan-eup and expand the ‘Munsan Clean Zone’ designation in phases. Through this effort, they plan to move beyond one-time cleanup activities to establish a continuous management system centered on responsibility zones, and contribute to creating a clean and livable Munsan-eup.
