Lee Hyun-jae, People Power Party Candidate for Hanam Mayor, Announces 4 Key Strategies to Build Foundation of 500,000-Person Self-Sufficient City
[News S = Reporter Um In-yong] Lee Hyun-jae, People Power Party candidate for Hanam mayor, held a press conference on the 1st, stating "The June 3rd election will determine whether Hanam develops into a first-tier city or regresses," and appealed, "Please be sure to go to the voting booth and choose the right person for Hanam's development."
Candidate Lee said, "I am sorry for causing relative deprivation despite making many efforts for Wiryeong and Gamil," and began the conference with a statement on Wiryeong and Gamil, saying, "I will pay closer attention to ensure that residents of Wiryeong and Gamil do not feel neglected."
He then announced four core strategies to lay the foundation for a 500,000-person self-sufficient city over the next four years.
The candidate promised to create △an era of 10 trillion won in investment attraction by 2030 △completion of the five subway lines era and resolution of commute traffic inconvenience △1,000 admissions to major universities by 2030 △and the creation of Hanam as the capital region's best welfare city.
In particular, he presented realistic and specific pledges including a "seat reservation system" for intercity buses connecting Hanam and Gangnam to resolve commute traffic inconvenience, deployment of charter buses, minimization of commute inconvenience, 2 million won for the first child birth incentive (including ETF stock account payments), up to 300,000 won in senior citizen transportation subsidies, and 240,000 won per year in youth transportation subsidies (ages 19-23).
Meanwhile, former Representative Kim Jong-in attended the press conference and said, "I have maintained a 50-year relationship with Mayor Lee Hyun-jae since my time at the Prime Minister's Office. In this election, the chief executive election is not about choosing a politician, but about choosing a person who cares for the daily convenience of Hanam citizens," and added, "I believe Mayor Lee Hyun-jae's election will enhance the quality of life for Hanam citizens and raise Hanam's value."
He further urged, "On the 3rd, please go to the voting booth and elect candidate Lee Hyun-jae, who knows Hanam best and can lead it."
He also stated, "Can a candidate who lacks policies and vision and only emphasizes Democratic Party unity, or one who uses negative campaigning in the final stages of the election to upset citizens, bring development to Hanam?" and continued, "We cannot entrust Hanam's golden time to an amateur novice," urging, "Please choose Lee Hyun-jae, who has 40 years of public service experience and is verified through achievements as the head of the Small and Medium Business Administration and mayor of Hanam, leading over 1,000 civil servants."
