Lee Hyun-jae, People Power Party Hanam Mayor Candidate, Announces 4 Core Strategies to Build Foundation of Self-Sufficient City of 500,000

[News S=Um In-yong Reporter] Lee Hyun-jae, People Power Party Hanam mayor candidate, held a press conference on June 1st and said, "The June 3rd election will determine whether Hanam develops as a first-tier city or regresses," urging "Please go to the voting booth without fail and choose the right person for Hanam's development."

Lee Hyun-jae said, "Although I have made many efforts for Wiryeseong and Gamil, I apologize for giving a sense of relative deprivation," and began the conference with his position on Wiryeseong and Gamil, stating, "I will pay closer attention to ensure that residents of Wiryeseong and Gamil do not feel neglected."

He then announced four core strategies to lay the foundation for a self-sufficient city of 500,000 over the next four years.

Candidate Lee promised to △achieve the era of 10 trillion won in foreign investment by 2030 △complete the era of five subway lines and resolve commuting traffic inconvenience △achieve 1,000 admissions to major universities by 2030 △create Hanam as the best welfare city in the Seoul metropolitan area.

In particular, to resolve commuting traffic inconvenience, he presented realistic and specific pledges including implementing a "reserved seat booking system" for express buses connecting Hanam and Gangnam and deploying chartered buses to minimize commuting inconvenience, providing 2 million won in childbirth incentive for the first child (including ETF stock account provision), up to 300,000 won in senior transportation subsidies, and 240,000 won annually in youth transportation subsidies (ages 19-23).

Meanwhile, former Representative Kim Jong-in attended the press conference and said, "I have maintained a 50-year relationship with Mayor Lee Hyun-jae since the Prime Minister's Office, and in this election, the choice of a provincial governor is not electing a politician, but choosing someone who cares for the daily convenience of Hanam citizens," adding, "I believe that Lee Hyun-jae's election as mayor will enhance the living convenience of Hanam citizens and raise the value of Hanam."

He urged, "Go to the voting booth on June 3rd and please elect Lee Hyun-jae, who knows Hanam best and can lead it forward."
