Rep. Son Myeong-soo Wins 'Constitutional Achievement Award of the Republic of Korea' for Second Consecutive Year in 22nd National Assembly First Half

Son Myeong-soo (Democratic Party, Yongin District) has won the 'Constitutional Achievement Award of the Republic of Korea' selected by the Legal Consumer Association. As a member of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee in the first half of the 22nd National Assembly, he has been selected as a two-time consecutive recipient, earning recognition for his outstanding expertise and parliamentary competence.
The 'Constitutional Achievement Award of the Republic of Korea' is a parliamentary evaluation award that comprehensively assesses 12 quantified items including △national audit performance, △plenary session attendance rate, △standing committee attendance rate, △bill passage rate, and △budget and settlement special committee activities of National Assembly members. It is recognized for its high credibility among evaluations of National Assembly members conducted by civic organizations.
Rep. Son Myeong-soo served as a member of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee in the first half of the 22nd National Assembly, focusing in-depth on transportation infrastructure development, housing issues, construction site safety concerns, and autonomous vehicle pilot city initiatives, while working to improve structural problems and establish effective policies.
Through this work, he has taken the lead in proposing the 'National Infrastructure Basic Act,' a core bill for balanced national development and citizen safety, and has actively continued legislative activities including partial amendments to the 'Law on Promotion and Support for Commercialization of Autonomous Vehicles,' 'Occupational Safety and Health Act,' 'Housing Sales Act,' partial amendments to the 'Urban Redevelopment Act and Housing Act,' and 'Law on Improving Mobility of Persons with Transportation Barriers.'
Additionally, he has taken the lead in △extending the Bundang Line and expanding rail infrastructure in southern Gyeonggi Province, a long-held desire of Yongin citizens, and has achieved visible results in local district issues including △increasing wide-area buses 5000, 5003, 5005, and 5006 and establishing new routes from Seocheon to Seoul Station and from Gangnam University to Seoul Station to resolve commute traffic inconveniences, and △immediate installation of safety facilities at Singal Expressway bus stops.
Rep. Son Myeong-soo stated, "I feel greater responsibility being selected as a Constitutional Achievement Award recipient once again following last year," adding, "In the second half of the 22nd National Assembly, as a member of the Political Affairs Committee, I will work to resolve financial and livelihood economy issues, and I will continue to approach parliamentary activities with a spirit of continuous self-improvement to create a better Yongin and the true Republic of Korea where the people can lead happy lives."
