Suwon City Council Concludes 403rd Temporary Session... Finalizes Budget Supplemented by Public Livelihood Policies
[News S=Reporter Jeong Jun-seong] The Suwon Metropolitan City Council held the 2nd plenary session of the 403rd temporary session on the 29th, concluding its 17-day session.
In this temporary session, a total of 16 agenda items were processed, including the first supplementary budget bill for fiscal year 2026 and ordinance bills.
The plenary session handled △the ordinance bill for the operation and management of academic projects of Suwon City Council, △the ordinance bill on integrity improvement and anti-corruption in Suwon, and △the partial amendment ordinance bill to the basic human rights ordinance of Suwon.
Subsequently, △the ordinance bill on private experts' participation in and support for municipal administration in Suwon, △the ordinance bill on fostering and supporting physical AI industry in Suwon, and △the consent bill for private operation of Suwon's Community Care Centers No. 23, 24, and 25 were processed.
Additionally, the first supplementary budget bill for general and special account revenue and expenditure for fiscal year 2026 was revised and approved.
Amendment bills to the operating plans for the Hometown Love Fund, outdoor advertising development fund, infrastructure installation fund, and social welfare fund were approved as originally proposed.
The council also addressed the matter of presenting opinions on the designation of the Uman Apartments Redevelopment Project area.
Meanwhile, at the 2nd plenary session of the 403rd temporary session held on the 29th, council members and executive branch officials together wore hanbok and conducted a card section performance to promote the 'Suwon Visit Year.'
The event was planned to widely publicize the '2026-2027 Suwon Visit Year' and to reflect on the values of respect, consideration, and cooperation between the council and executive branch, as well as between different political parties.
