Paldal-gu District in Suwon City (District Chief Hwang Gyu-don) held the "Paldal-gu District Chief Cup Community Sports Jump Rope Competition" on the 22nd at the Dream Gymnasium of the Suwon Youth Culture Center to promote residents' basic physical fitness and share the joy of community sports.

Hosted by Paldal-gu District and organized by the Paldal-gu Jump Rope Association, the competition was held as the midway event of this year's Paldal-gu District Chief Cup Sports Competition (the fifth of nine total events), following shuttlecock kicks, gateball, baduk, and e-sports.

Approximately 200 jump rope enthusiasts from the district participated in the competition, with matches held across youth, high school, and general divisions, and participants competed in individual and team events divided by age and competition category.

In particular, the competition provided youth participants an opportunity to develop physical strength and concentration through jump rope and learn the value of fair competition, while high school and general division participants found it a harmonious gathering to maintain exercise habits in their daily lives and broaden exchanges among fellow enthusiasts.

Jin Jae-seok, chairman of the Suwon Jump Rope Association, said, "It was meaningful to bring together participants ranging from young children to adult enthusiasts to share the joy of jump rope," and added, "I appreciate Paldal-gu District for providing this festive venue."

District Chief Hwang Gyu-don said, "Jump rope is a community sports activity that anyone can easily enjoy while developing physical strength, concentration, and cooperation. I hope this competition, with diverse generations from youth to general participants taking part together, will serve as an opportunity to spread a healthy leisure culture and bring vitality to our local community."
