Paldal-gu, Suwon City Concludes District Chief Cup Community Sports Jump Rope Competition
Paldal-gu, Suwon City (District Chief Hwang Gyudon) held the 'Paldal-gu District Chief Cup Community Sports Jump Rope Competition' at the Dream Sports Gymnasium of the Suwon Youth Culture Center on the 22nd to enhance the basic physical fitness of district residents and share the joy of community sports.
Hosted by Paldal-gu and organized by the Paldal-gu Jump Rope Association, this competition was held as the midpoint event of the Paldal-gu District Chief Cup Sports Competition this year (the 5th event out of 9 total events) following jokgu, gateball, baduk, and esports.
Approximately 200 jump rope enthusiasts from the district participated in the competition, with youth, high school, and general divisions competing together. Participants competed in individual and team events divided by age and event category.
In particular, for young participants, the competition served as an opportunity to build strength and concentration through jump rope and learn the value of fair competition. For high school and general division participants, it was a gathering that fostered harmony by maintaining exercise habits in daily life and broadening exchanges among enthusiasts.
Jin Jae-seok, Chairman of the Suwon City Jump Rope Association, said, "It was meaningful to have young participants and adult enthusiasts gather in one place to share the joy of jump rope," and "I am grateful to Paldal-gu for providing such a festive venue."
District Chief Hwang Gyudon said, "Jump rope is a community sports event that anyone can easily enjoy while also cultivating physical fitness, concentration, and cooperation. I hope this competition, in which diverse generations from youth to adults participate together, will become an opportunity to spread a healthy leisure culture and add vitality to our local community."
