Yongin City Announces Final Results Registration for 'Carbon Neutral Points Automobile' Program

Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced on September 24 that final results registration for the 'Carbon Neutral Points Automobile Sector' program, overseen by the Ministry of Climate and Energy and Environment, will be held from September 28 to October 31.

The 'Carbon Neutral Points Automobile Sector' is a program that provides benefits based on greenhouse gas reduction achievements when drivers reduce their vehicle mileage during the program participation period and contribute to greenhouse gas reduction.

The reduction rate is calculated by comparing the average daily driving distance during the participation period with the figures before participation. Benefits ranging from 20,000 won to a maximum of 100,000 won are provided based on reduction achievements.

Participants must access the Carbon Neutral Points Automobile website (https://car.cpoint.or.kr/com/main/user/index.do) from September 28 to October 31 to register their final results.

To register results, participants should access the website, upload photos of their license plate and dashboard, enter their mileage, and then complete the final confirmation and consent procedures.

If participants fail to submit supporting documents or complete the final confirmation and consent procedures within the designated period, their final participation may not be recognized. Therefore, participants must complete their registration within the specified timeframe.

A 'Completion Commemoration Event' will also be held for participants who complete final results registration and receive an approval text message.

Participants who meet the conditions will automatically participate in the event without a separate application process. A total of 2,000 winners will be selected through a drawing to receive Onmuri digital gift certificates worth 5,000 won per person. The gift certificates will be distributed individually in November.

A city official stated, "The Carbon Neutral Points Automobile Sector is a program that allows drivers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through daily practices of reducing vehicle mileage and receive benefits according to their reduction achievements," and added, "We hope local participants will complete their final results registration within the deadline and benefit from this program."
