[News S=Reporter Jung Eun-kyung] Ajou University (President Choi Ki-ju) held the first university-wide startup mentoring program business plan presentation for international students, the 'Ajou University V-Startup Research Group (hereinafter Research Group),' on the 17th.

The Research Group was conducted from October of last year to February of this year through talent donation by News S (CEO Kim Gap-dong), AquaMine (CEO Kim Beom-yeon), and Professor Lee Tae-jin of Ajou University (College of Business Administration) to support startup activities of Vietnamese international students.

The Research Group program was operated with a total of 12 lectures, from an orientation to a business plan presentation competition.

At this presentation competition, students participating in the startup mentoring program presented business strategies including SWOT analysis and business promotion directions for their target products they intended to start.

As a result of the competition, the Grand Prize went to ▲Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi 'Four Seasons Bento Box Business,' and Excellent Prize recipients were ▲Bui Thi Thu Huong 'Flower Business' ▲Phan Thi Huyen 'R-Beauty Business' ▲Hoa Thi Thu Hoa 'Han-Viet Post Business.'

Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi, the Grand Prize winner, said, "This startup mentoring program taught me many valuable contents that I could not learn in university classrooms, and it will be of great help in actually starting a business."

Kim Beom-yeon, CEO of AquaMine, said, "As Korea and Vietnam are marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the bilateral relationship is becoming closer, we planned the first startup mentoring program among universities nationwide to help Vietnamese international students studying in Suwon. The Ajou University startup mentoring program shared the essential knowledge needed for Vietnamese international students to start a business from Mentor Kim Jin-ho's 29 years of work experience at Samsung Electronics and 9 years of startup know-how."

Professor Lee Tae-jin of Ajou University said, "I hope that the startup mentoring program for foreign international students will be continuously expanded and more entrepreneurs will be produced."

Kim Gap-dong, CEO of News S, said, "Through the startup mentoring program, I look forward to the day when foreign international students studying in Korea will grow into global entrepreneurs approaching quickly," and "News S and AquaMine plan to continue talent donation so that this startup mentoring program can be expanded to universities nationwide, and we welcome applications from universities interested in this program."
