Policy Agreement between Yang Hyang-ja and Bang Se-hwan; Former Presidential Candidate Kim Moon-soo Joins Campaign Rally

[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] Bang Se-hwan, the People Power Party's mayoral candidate for Gwangju, held a 'policy agreement ceremony for promoting the southern Gyeonggi AI semiconductor future industry cluster' with Yang Hyang-ja, the People Power Party's gubernatorial candidate for Gyeonggi Province, in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province on the 28th, presenting a vision for fostering future industries in Gwangju.

The event was attended by Kim Moon-soo, former People Power Party presidential candidate, in a show of support, with People Power Party-affiliated Gwangju city and provincial council candidates also participating to demonstrate united resolve and commitment to electoral victory.

In particular, candidates Yang Hyang-ja and Bang Se-hwan formalized a joint vision through the policy agreement to develop Gwangju City as a future industry city centered on AI and semiconductors.

The agreement includes ▲establishment of semiconductor and AI specialized high schools ▲construction of AI cloud infrastructure ▲creation of AI and semiconductor value chain cooperating companies complex ▲establishment of startup support centers.

Candidate Yang Hyang-ja stated, "Korea's future competitiveness will ultimately be determined by AI and semiconductors," emphasizing that "Gwangju, possessing both growth potential and locational competitive advantage, can develop into a key hub of the southern Gyeonggi advanced industry belt."

She continued, "We must create a city where youth do not leave Gwangju and where companies and technology gather," and announced, "Gyeonggi Province and Gwangju City will work together to establish a future industry foundation and create new growth drivers for Gwangju."

Former candidate Kim Moon-soo, who appeared at the rally, stated, "Currently, Korea's economy and livelihood are in very difficult circumstances," and added, "At such times, we need people with proven experience and implementation capability."

Candidate Bang Se-hwan said, "Over the past four years, we have laid the foundation for citizens' lives through expansion of transportation, sports, and cultural and welfare infrastructure," and continued, "Now we must take Gwangju one step further, transforming it into a self-sufficient city where future industries and cutting-edge technology thrive."

He further stated, "Gwangju is a city that has sacrificed for a long time under overlapping metropolitan regulations," and emphasized, "Now it must become a city that creates opportunities beyond regulation. Through AI and semiconductor industries, transportation innovation, and attracting businesses, I will create a Gwangju where youth return," appealing, "Please unite your strength for Gwangju's development and stable city administration."
