Yang Hyang-ja and Bang Se-hwan Policy Agreement, Former Presidential Candidate Kim Moon-soo Campaigns in Support

[News S=Reporter Um In-yong] Bang Se-hwan, People Power Party candidate for Gwangju Mayor, held a 'policy agreement ceremony for promoting an AI semiconductor future industry cluster in the southern Gyeonggi region' with Yang Hyang-ja, People Power Party candidate for Gyeonggi Province Governor, in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province on the 28th, presenting a vision for fostering future industries in Gwangju.

At the event, Kim Moon-soo, former People Power Party presidential candidate, joined in campaign support, and People Power Party candidates for Gwangju city and provincial assembly seats also attended, demonstrating their determination for unity and electoral victory.

In particular, Candidate Yang Hyang-ja and Candidate Bang Se-hwan formalized a joint vision through the policy agreement to foster Gwangju as a future industry city centered on AI and semiconductors.

The agreement includes ▲establishment of semiconductor and AI specialized high schools ▲construction of AI cloud infrastructure ▲development of AI and semiconductor value chain partner industrial complexes ▲creation of startup support centers and other provisions.

Candidate Yang Hyang-ja stated, "South Korea's future competitiveness will ultimately be determined by AI and semiconductors," and emphasized, "Gwangju is a city with both growth potential and location competitiveness, so it can grow into a key hub of the southern Gyeonggi advanced industry belt."

She continued, "We must create a city where youth do not leave Gwangju and where companies and technology gather," and stated, "Gyeonggi Province and Gwangju City will work together to establish the foundation for future industries and create new growth engines for Gwangju."

Former Candidate Kim Moon-soo, who came out for campaign support, said, "Currently, South Korea faces very difficult economic and livelihood situations," and added, "In such times, we need people with verified experience and drive."

Candidate Bang Se-hwan stated, "Over the past four years, we have laid the foundation for citizens' lives by expanding transportation, sports, culture, and welfare infrastructure," and said, "Now we must take Gwangju one step further as a self-sufficient city where future industries and cutting-edge technology come alive."

He continued, "Gwangju is a city that has made sacrifices due to overlapping capital region regulations for a long time," and emphasized, "Now it must transform into a city that creates opportunities beyond regulations.
