Suwon Special City Council Holds Interim General Meeting of Legislators Association
[News S=Reporter Jung Jun-seong] The interim general meeting of the Suwon Special City Council's Legislators Association was held on the 23rd in the multipurpose room of the council building.
The interim general meeting was attended by Legislators Association Chairman Lee Yong-taek and members of the association including former Suwon city council members, as well as Council Speaker Kim Mi-gyeong and incumbent council members.
The general meeting deliberated on agenda items including the appointment of co-chairs, amendments to the bylaws, and delegation of executive appointments. Speaker Kim and former council members exchanged views on the development of the Suwon City Council.
Council Speaker Kim Mi-gyeong stated, "It is very meaningful to hold the interim general meeting of the Legislators Association with senior council members in the new building established by Suwon Special City Council for the first time in 73 years since its opening," and "The new building is a precious foundation of the council built upon the legislative history and efforts of senior council members who have dedicated themselves to citizens."
She continued, "The Legislators Association is a strong root and compass for Suwon Special City Council, and the experience and wisdom of senior council members will be a great source of strength for future legislative activities," and added, "The 13th Suwon Special City Council will also work to create a council more trusted by citizens."
Meanwhile, the Suwon Special City Legislators Association is composed of former Suwon city council members and promotes exchange and unity among members. Based on accumulated legislative experience, it continues various activities for the development of Suwon and Suwon Special City Council.
