Gwangju Metropolitan Council Opens 325th Extraordinary Session
[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] The Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Council Speaker Park Sang-young) opened the '325th Extraordinary Session' on the 28th.
In this extraordinary session, which runs for 10 days through August 6, the council plans to deliberate a total of 10 agenda items including 2 budget bills, 1 business report, 3 ordinance bills, and 4 other matters such as consent bills.
At the first plenary session, the council will process various agenda items including the decision on the session period and the election of members to sign the minutes, as well as the supplementary budget bill for fiscal year 2026 and the first amendment to the fund operation plan, and will elect the chair and vice-chair of the Budget and Settlement Special Committee on the same day.
From the 29th to the 31st, each standing committee (Council Operations, Administrative Welfare, and Urban Environment) will handle the matter of reports on municipal administration for fiscal year 2026, and on August 3 and 4, they will review the supplementary budget bill and ordinance bills respectively.
Additionally, on the 5th, the Budget and Settlement Special Committee will conduct final review of the supplementary budget bill and amendments to the fund operation plan.
Furthermore, the 325th Extraordinary Session concludes with the second plenary session on the 6th, with the final passage of ordinance bills, budget bills, and other matters deliberated by each standing committee marking the end of the extraordinary session schedule.
